本劇集是BBC 2臺2000年正式推出以青年人題材和對的系列情喜劇，創(chuàng)和編劇均Steven Moffat一人擔當。三三女的主人物構成容易使人想到當時走紅（其已經在走坡路）的Friends》，因此很有不根本沒看本劇的媒人士和評家想當然將本劇稱英國版的Friends》，而在那些有欣賞過本的觀眾們來，《Coupling》在情節(jié)設定、人表演、喜元素的設和表現等多方面所到的水平要比《Friends》高幾個次。相比下，《Friends》只能說一部“業(yè)”水平的作品而已當然總體說，英劇水準本身高于美劇這和英劇意保持創(chuàng)、編劇一化是分不的，美劇創(chuàng)意一般就為最初集編劇，后主要的劇工作都由其它編根據最初角色設定自由發(fā)揮編劇隊伍構成也是斷變化，的走新的，造成美情節(jié)連貫差甚至前矛盾，故往往缺乏度，人物格平面化缺少發(fā)展這都是題話了?！禖oupling》的主要人物包優(yōu)柔寡斷性格不成的帥哥Steve，Steve的莫逆之交舉止語言怪、總也不到女友Jeff，頭腦簡單外表性感“donkey” Patrick三位對Porn、特別是lesbian porn非常熱中的士，以及Steve的前女友、神叨叨、用性感作器的Jane，Steve的繼任女友、Jeff的同事、曾經非“不羈”包括和Jeff還有Patrick）過的Susan，Susan的莫逆、衰老和肥極度敏感美容師Sally三位女士。在一集中，Steve決定“再次和女友Jane分手，結果卻被Jane三言兩語引誘洗手間親；Patrick想把和Susan的關系再進一步，被告知根不存在什“關系” Susan在洗手間碰到匆忙來買Durex的Steve，向他表示好，兩人訂約會以后Steve鉆進隔間繼……。本的主線包Steve和 Susan之間逐漸正式起的關系，Jeff尋找艷遇過程的種種意以及后來上司發(fā)展來的一段系，Patrick和Sally之間若有無到若即離再到情難舍的感發(fā)展，還Jane在事業(yè)和異關系中的種奇事，等。本劇情節(jié)設計所達到的致和完美度讓人嘆觀止，而位當時并算大明星青年演員所展現精演技更是有頂尖演的水平，怪乎播出后立刻走大洋兩岸在IMDB、AMAZON和BBC網站可以領略到其歡迎的程。2002年底，第3季播畢，事情節(jié)基告一段落美國NBC看到這部英國版《Friends》”在英美兩地均受歡迎，得正好可搬來做2004年終于要關張的Friends》的接班人，于2003年大張旗鼓決定翻拍版《Coupling》。美國fans本來以為這件好事，想到NBC的翻拍愚地采用了臺詞照搬方法，雖個人沒看，不過也以想象到多惡心，果只播出集Pilot就因為罵聲太大而個計劃擱（這點上國佬是值學習的，象中國有搞影視的聲越大越上）。在里可以看這個計劃尸體，還一些徹底了味兒的照。2003年底，本劇獲得英喜劇獎（BCA）最佳電視喜劇。BBC已經在2004年正式開拍并播出4季，不過Jeff這個人物將再出現，代之以新色——經Sci-Fi書店的Oliver，由Richard Mylan扮演。從經播出的集來看，該說在更主要角色一的背景，基本保了前3季的水準，但同時也流出對前3季中成功情進行拷貝跡象，希這僅僅是然。Twos company, threes a crowd... so what do you do with six?
